Why?

It is highly unlikely that you will lose your watch lists even if we issue a later version for you to install. The most likely way for you to lose your watch lists is to change your computer or perhaps want to run SwingTrader on a laptop as well as a pc. You can then copy your watch list to the laptop by following these instructions.

How?

Use Windows explorer to access the SwingTrader program (Start, My Computer, then click the "Folders" icon, click Local Disk (C:) then Program Files, then the 'SST' folder, then SST SwingTrader, then Yahoo, then general.)

You will see a file on the right hand side called Watchlist.xml

Right click this file then click copy.

Right click on a place where you want to keep your back up file - I suggest your Desktop - and click Paste.

If you need to retrieve your back up copy and re-install it.

Close SwingTrader. Right click then Copy the back up Watchlist.xml file and then paste it back into the "general" folder in SST SwingTrader and click "Yes" when asked if you want to replace the existing file. Open SwingTrader to check that your watch lists have been restored.
